Venze and Eze are also beautiful mountain towns that can be reached by bus for1.5 €. You can even go skiing in the season at Isola 2000 two hour bus ride from Nice.
Strolling around
There are spectacular views of the city and the sea from the top of the small hill that separates the harbor and the old town. At the top there is a small cafe, a park and a playground. It's a beautiful walk up there, but you can also take the little tourist train that runs from the Promenade des Anglais. One can also go for a walk along the park that surrounds the old town or take a ride on roller skates as many local Nice habitants do.
Nice restaurants
It is packed with restaurants in the Old Town. "Chez Palmyre" located in Rue Droite is a very charming little french restaurant.
The family restaurant "A l'Olivier" is also worth visiting. They make their own olive oil.
